...that guides me through this life. God always has His hands on us; and if we listen to "the voice," or the Holy Spirit inside of us; it could keep us from doing things we could regret later.
Sometimes, it may be something completely innocent that you feel is good, but it may be outside the will of God. Take for example this 24-day countdown challenge I've taken upon myself. I started to panic about not having something to post EVERYDAY.

I went to the internet to look for some ideas of charitable things the family and I could do, and then write about it - complete with pictures. I googled the words "charitable deeds". One of the first results to pop up was a bible verse: Matthew 6:1 It stopped me in my tracks. I only had to read the first two words to know what the rest said. I was convicted.
Even though, I thought I was doing something positive that I could share with my readers, the idea was actually something that God admonishes. Read it for yourself below and let me know if I'm over-reacting. I don't think I am. What I believe is that God was looking out for me by reminding me of what His word says about doing things to win favor in the eyes of man.

v1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them; otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven, v2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
Needless to say, I won't be broadcasting my good deeds this Thanksgiving season. You'll just have to keep reading about the things I'm thankful for. :-)
I have so many ideas for ways I want to give back, and as time goes on, you'll start to see them manifest. I do think there is a difference in me finding stuff to do just so I can write about it, and actually participating in something charitable to make a difference and sharing it to inspire someone.
So in time, you will start to see the plans laid out for several things that I want to do in the community. The only difference is, it will be from my heart and not my head.
20 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!
