When I find a piece that I really love, I love to wear it over and over again; especially if I get a good deal on it. This was the case with one of my favorite cardigans. The color, neon yellow, is really summer specific, but to my surprise, an article popped up on a blog that I follow showing it as a winter trend.

I immediately went upstairs and pulled out my cardigan, which was packed
away until spring. I thought I was going to hear about it at work, but
no one said anything. That was very unusual because when I wear it in
the summer, the guys in the office cover their eyes or squint like my
favorite sweater is blinding them. But I wore it today and nothing! Maybe they read the article or saw the picture of Kim K. sporting that
little neon yellow mini.
I paired my favorite sweater with a white tank, charcoal wide leg trousers and peep-toe red bottom pumps. Something about that splash of red to kick an outfit up a notch!
Can I let you in on a little thrifty secret? From head to toe, the whole outfit cost less than $70.00 - that includes my faux Christian Louboutin red bottom heels.
I didn't buy the outfit together, but I'm such a bargain shopper that I remember how much I paid for all of my penny-pinching deals. I'm probably the only one who gets their jollies off such information, but I thought I'd share a little breakdown of the look.

It didn't take much arm-twisting to make me pull out my neon yellow cardigan in the middle of winter. It was like the article gave me permission to wear white after Labor Day! But just like my loud, highlighter-inspired sweater, there's nothing normal about winter in Florida. I couldn't have picked a more perfect January day for a splash of color.
I like the winter splash of color....I'm going to add some color to my ensemble today...thanks for the permission....:-)
