Celebrating Love Today: The Story of Kim

We are finally home after a very long day.  I helped Lon shoot the wedding I told you about yesterday.  It was the ceremony of a longtime family friend, Kim Jackson and her now husband, Sean Way.  You may recall I went to her bridal shower (#4) a couple of weeks ago.  We've known Kim since Austin was a knee-high to a junebug.  She's the close friend of my SILs, Chanda and Nicole.

Funny story about the "Kims" in our family. For a few years at every family event, there would be 4 Kims in the room at the same time.  We couldn't just say, "Hey, Kim!" because they would all answer.

We had to come up with a way to identify them.  There was a Kim A., Kim D. and 2 Kim J's. We called Kim Jackson "Kim J." Lon's baby sister's name changed from Kim to Kimberly during events.  We tried to call Kim D. "Kimberly", but she was not having it at all.

They all still hold a special place in our hearts, even though we don't see them as often as we used to.  But we are so proud of Kim J. - excuse me...Kim W.   She waited for the man God had for her,  and in her words, she did it the "right Way." (loves it!)  

Hopefully, Lon and Kim both will allow me to post a pic or 2 to show you soon.  It was a beautiful day.  Congratulations to the beautiful couple: Mr. & Mrs. Sean Way!!  Many, many blessings to come in your lives together!

Oh...P.S.S.  Super excited to see Kim A. and her family next month.  She and her husband, William, moved back home to Minneapolis, Minnesota a few years ago after Will got out of the Navy.  It's been a long time...can't wait to see them!!!
